As a long time 'health nut,' Erin has had a passion for the healing arts for over 20 years. While in University studying Music Therapy she also worked for an environmental non-profit that raised money to clean local streams, rivers and lakes. After college she moved to California where she studied dance, Alexander technique and Pilates for nearly a decade at Mauri Winsor's famous Winsor Pilates Studio in Los Angeles.
Erin has also been practicing yoga for nearly two decades. She studied directly under Bikram Choudhury of the now famous Bikram yoga also located in Los Angeles. During this time she also began consulting for eco-friendly companies on the West Coast. Now, years later she still consults for many eco organizations and non-profits worldwide. But her dream has always been to work for herself running her own company in the green holistic field where she might help others. Finally this dream has become a reality.
While eating a high raw diet since the 90's in California, Erin didn't really fully embrace the living-foods lifestyle until 2003 when she moved to South Florida. There she became friends with many of the movers and shakers in the raw foods world, many of whom worked at the nearby Hippocrates Institute. After losing a home to hurricane Wilma in 2005 she decided to move farther up the Florida coast about three hours to the less-populated Northern beaches. There she helps organize a local raw meet-up group and promote several raw restaurants in the area. She has continued her studies in raw foods and has traveled and studied under many of the better known raw food gurus around the country from Atlanta to Southern California, Florida and beyond.
As she approaches 40 she's overcome many obstacles in her life yet managed to stay healthy, fit and strong. She's currently writing a soon-to-be-published book on her experiences and raw foods.
